A New Era for Petra’s Candlelit Experience as of May 2025 Available Every Night
For years, Petra by Night has enchanted travelers with its magical candlelit path through the Siq to the Treasury. Until recently, this extraordinary experience was only available three nights a week—Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. But starting May 1, 2025, a new schedule brings even more opportunity to enjoy it: Petra by Night is now available every single night!
What Is Petra by Night?

Petra by Night is a special after-hours experience inside Petra, Jordan’s most iconic archaeological site. As night falls, the Siq is illuminated by more than 1,500 candles, guiding visitors to the Treasury (Al-Khazneh). Once there, you’ll enjoy a calming atmosphere with live Bedouin music and a view of the Treasury bathed in candlelight — a magical contrast to the bustling daytime tours.
